Site visits, for this architect at least, are hugely rewarding: to be able to see how the space will flow, to see how light will work and views will be framed—so exciting! It’s also great to work with builders who care and who enjoy the dialog about the construction process and techniques.
This project is pursuing LEED certification, designed with energy modeling and methodology from our Phius experience, and aiming for low embodied carbon in the materials: double stud wall with cellulose, a concrete-less house slab, CO2 mineralized concrete for the garage and driveway, wood structure throughout.
