Right Sized Passive Home

  • | Passive House (PHIUS+2015)

  • | LEED-H Platinum

While its space planning and technology are entirely 21st-century, this “right-sized” new home echoes the scale and detailing of its bungalow and foursquare neighbors. Indoor-outdoor experience is optimized with a front screened porch, complete with a wood-burning fireplace. As a Passive House (the second in the Chicago region), it uses about 10 times less heating and cooling energy of a built-to-code home, and about 70% less energy overall.
