This house was a chance to accommodate a large multi-generational family on a larger suburban lot. The plan layout balances family gathering space with separate quieter spaces, while the minimal, classic interior design prioritizes natural light and views to the garden.
Pursuing Phius certification, this ultra-efficient, all-electric house will be super comfortable, with great indoor air quality. A ground-source (geothermal) heat pump will provide all cooling, heating, and hot water. The roofs are designed to accommodate sufficient solar PV panels to offset total annual energy use.
